Mike Symons has joined Southern League Premier division side Swindon Supermarine on a dual-registration deal as he continues on the road to recovery.
The striker is yet to play a competitive fixture this season after fracturing his tibia in the pre-season friendly against Newport County in July.
Head Coach Marc Richards says Symons has been working hard as he looks to return to full fitness and now needs game time.
He said “Mike has worked really hard on his recovery. Having progressively increased his workload in training over the past few weeks he is now at a stage where he needs to go and get some matches under his belt.
“Swindon have a number of games coming up in a short space of time, and so hopefully he’ll be able to get those minutes in quickly."
