Goalscorer James Roberts says Hereford need six points from their next two games after dropping points at home to Altrincham this afternoon.
The Bulls entertain FC United of Manchester next Saturday before hosting Southport the following weekend.
Both sides are at the wrong end of the table, but Southport beat high-flying Kidderminster Harriers 4-1 at home today.
"It has to be six points," said Roberts.
"Had we got three points today the story would have changed a bit, but now solely in our minds we know we've got to win those games and we're focused on that.
"We're really disappointed we didn't win today."
The striker scored his first League goal for the Bulls this afternoon.
"Of course, it was really good to score in front of the home fans as well, it's a fantastic feeling," said Roberts.
"But we're disappointed overall that we haven't gone and got the three points because at the end of the day that's the most important thing.
"Recently we've been a little bit suspect from set-pieces but we are very aware of that."
Roberts never seemed to stop running.
"At the end of the day it's ninety minutes of work, that's all it is. After you can get back in the car, go home and have some food and drink. It's ninety minutes.
"The fans come in, they pay. The least you can do is work hard."
Roberts was asked about the set-up at his former club and his new club.
"Halesowen is a fantastic club. I can't say a bad word about it.
"But it just that step up in Leagues, step up in facilities, step up in coaching. Everything is just that little bit more professional and I'm really thriving on it."
Asked about his partnership with George Lloyd, Roberts said that they were a new partnership and they had only played three games together.
"I'm getting to know his runs, I'm getting to know the way he plays, he's getting to know the way I play, I think it could be a really good partnership.
"I've played in this League before so I know what it's all about, I know what I'm going to come up against, robust defender who want to throw you from pillar to post.
"I'm prepared for that, I'm prepared for those ninety minute battles. Despite the fact that these defenders may be 6ft 4in it's not going to deter me or George from battling for ninety minutes."
