Southport have ended the contracts of two of their players because of 'serious issues'. Mike Phenix and Zac Corbett. Phenix revealed he had been tested for 'so called sports enhancement'. The club said 'they had co-operated fully with the relevant authorities regarding separate
yet equally serious issues that involve the two players and having a
zero tolerance policy towards such issues, there was no other option
than to part company'.
Meanwhile midfielder Marcus Wood has joined Southport from Bolton.
Altrincham, whom Hereford play on Saturday week, have agreed an extension to loan Owen Dale from Crewe.
Striker Reece Styche has moved from Darlington to Alfreton for an undisclosed fee. His previous clubs include Forest Green and Kidderminster.
