Solid Display By Hereford At Cirencester

Hereford won last night's pre-season friendly at Cirencester 3-0 with goals from Jamie Bird, Lee Lucas and Mike Symons.

It was a solid display by the Bulls despite being without several players including Jimmy Oates who is currently on trial with Exeter. Martin Horsell was back in goal after missing the Pegasus friendly last Saturday.

Jamie Bird opened the scoring for Hereford with just one minute on the clock. Striker Harry White was the provider.

Not such a good night for Keyon Reffell who limped off on seven minutes with what initially looked like an ankle injury.

Despite several other attempts on goal Cirencester defended well. In particular their keeper, Luke Merchant, kept out two shots in quick succession, the first from Jennison Myrie-Williams and the second from White.

Beadle made several changes at half-time including the introduction of Mike Symons. Hereford's second goal came after Symons was brought down just outside the area. Trialist Lee Lucas took the free kick which appeared to deceive the keeper and went in at the near post.

Symons scored Hereford's third and final goal after some good work from the lively Myrie-Williams.

Although no figure was given the attendance didn't look to be more than around 120.

Hereford starting XI: Horsell, Thomas, Hall, Murphy, Liburd, Greenslade, Reffell, Dinsley (C), White, Bird, Myrie-Williams.

Subs: Franklin, Symons, Hockey, Lucas, Johnstone, Sainty, Radovanovic
