News Round Up



Former Hereford United striker Stuart Fleetwood has signed for Swindon Supermarine. The 32-year old was with Merthyr Town until their financial problems came to light last year and he quickly joined fellow Southern Premier side Redditch.

New AFC Telford United manager Gavin Cowan is confident he will be a hit at the New Bucks Head, but remains cautious about the challenges he faces. It's the 37-year olds first job in management having spent the the last couple of years at the Shropshire club as a coach. He told the Shropshire Star he knows the club will be successful and is passionate about getting it back to where it belongs.

Harvey Rivers has signed a one year contract with Evesham. The former Hereford United keeper has moved from Yate Town.

Meanwhile a former Hereford United player has been released by his club by text. Phil Marsh received the text from the newly appointed manager of Rhyl. He replied, tongue in cheek, that he wasn't staying anyway as he was 'signing back for Manchester United in the summer'. Marsh started his career at Old Trafford.
