Tomorrow UITC will be hosting the Dave Gilbert / Derek Blake Memorial Tournament at Central Park.
Both were stalwarts of Hereford Civil Service FC, and served the club in both playing and non playing roles. Dave organised the first ever Hereford Civil Service Charity Tournament in 2007 to raise funds for cancer charities, and the club has continued with this staging of this fundraising tournament since his untimely passing.
Over 70 players will be taking part in the tournament which starts at 9.30am, and the funds raised through team entry and player registrations will be donated to St Michaels Hospice.
UITC are once again very much looking forward to helping another member of the local Footballing Community raise funds for a much deserved cause.
Entry is free to Saturday's event and UITC will be providing a selection of hot and cold refreshments, which will be available for purchase on the day.
UITC will also be holding a raffle on Saturday and the lucky winner will receive a brand new matchball.
All those visiting Central Park on Saturday, are asked not to park in the nearby housing estate. There is limited car parking at Central Park.
