A preview of Thursday's match between Hitchin and Hereford from Hitchin FC:
Manager Mark Burke is urging as many fans as possible to come along and cheer on the Canaries.
Mark said, "I hope our supporters come out in force as I know there will be a large away following and I do not want it to be like a home game for Hereford.
"I have very fond memories of our last two competitive matches against Hereford at Top Field and would love to make it a hat trick on Thursday."
The
original fixture in March was called off as "the beast from the east"
covered Top Field in snow, while a water-logged surface thwarted the
first attempt to rearrange the match this Monday.
The
reverse fixture saw the Canaries soundly beaten at Edgar Street last
November despite a penalty save by Michael Johnson. In the match report (here), Mark Burke admitted, "They are the best side we have faced this season and they gave us a footballing lesson".
Normal admission
prices apply on Thursday - £10 adults and £6 concessions while U16s are
admitted free when accompanied by an adult - and kick off is at 7.45pm.
