Tickets are now on sale for 'The Goal' which will be featured at The Courtyard in Hereford from October 1st to October 13th.
This from the Courtyard:
The Courtyard in partnership with Hereford Football Club are
launching a special Herefordshire theatrical project based on the
legendary goal scored by Ronnie Radford in 1972.
The story will explore the lives of six ball boys at the match. Nick Lane, writer, has based the story on eye witness accounts of this famous match, that took place on 5 February, which has created a great story for the run up to this landmark event.
The star of the match was Hereford Football Club’s Ronnie Radford, who famously scored the goal against the giants that were Newcastle at non-league Hereford. In the word of football commentator John Motson: “Oh, what a goal! What a goal! Radford the scorer…and the crowd are invading the pitch”.
