Beckwith Goes On Loan To Maidstone

Former Hereford United defender Dean Beckwith has gone on loan to Maidstone from Sutton United.

Both teams play in the Conference National League.

Beckwith joined Hereford United in July 2005 from Gillingham after being recommended to manager Graham Turner by Bill Clayton who scouted in that area.

He made 127 league appearances for Hereford before acting manager John Trewick told him in April 2009 that he needed a change. He soon joined Northampton Town. Later he had spellls with Luton and Eastleigh.

Meanwhile John McCombe has left Chester by 'mutual consent'. The central defender, who had been released by Huddersfield, spent the 2007/08 season at Edgar Street initially as a third defender but an injury to Dean Beckwith gave him the chance to feature 27 times.

However he seemed out of favour with Graham Turner towards the end of the season after giving away a penalty in a game against Chester.

Turner didn't offer him a second contract and McCombe moved to Port Vale where he stayed for four seasons.

Finally Brad-Lee Gascoigne has moved from Nuneaton to Matlock.

Central defender Gascoinge, who started his career at Birmingham, joined Hereford United from Corby at the start of the Agombar era in July 2014.

Manager John Talor made him captain after Luis Morrison was injured.

After leaving Hereford he rejoined Corby Town after a a week at Rushall Olympic and three weeks at Stalybridge Celtic.
