The chairman of King's Lynn, Stephen Cleeve, has issued the following statement about the smoke bomb thrown at the ground last night during the game against Hereford.
“I deeply condone these ridiculous actions carried out
by this person/persons at last night’s game. Throwing this kind of
missile is obviously very dangerous and could end up in injury of a
serious nature.
“I simply
will not tolerate this kind of behaviour which only tarnishes the name
of King’s Lynn Town Football Club and 99% of its loyal and sensible
supporters.
“I would appeal
to the person/ persons who were involved in the incident last night to
come forward and own up to their foolish actions or alternatively for
any supporters who knows who committed this offence to contact myself or
any Club Official with a name/names of the people concerned so they can
be dealt with by the club.
“These
actions could possibly result in the club receiving at the very least a
hefty fine or worse action. What was a memorable night for me has been
spoilt by these mindless actions and I will not tolerate it anymore."
