Whilst Hereford were in FA Trophy action, there were a number of Southern Prem games this weekend.
Here's a review written by Steve Whitney.
The Evo-Stik League South Premier fixture
list got off relatively lightly on Saturday compared to others, losing
only the games at King`s Lynn Town and Royston Town to the weather.
It also saw two of the bottom three teams both hit for six!Basement side Dunstable Town gave their groundsman who did superbly to get their game at Creasey Park against Basingstoke Town on, scant reward as Terry Brown`s young side ran out 6-0 winners.
Sam Argent after 8 minutes from the penalty spot and then on 21 minutes gave `Stoke a 2-0 interval lead.
George Bennett added a third 7 minutes after the break and then Argent went on to score three more to take his own personal tally to FIVE in the 63rd, 85th and 90th minutes.
Dorchester Town rewarded their groundstaff, however, by hammering third-bottom St Ives Town by the same scoreline at the Avenue Stadium.
The Magpies are only fifth bottom themselves, but made it a miserable lengthy journey home for the Saints with a four-goal salvo for on-loan striker Mo Baghdadi.
It was only 1-0 at the break with Baghdadi`s opener in the 37th minute.
Billy Lowes added a second 6 minutes into the second half and then Baghdadi went on to claim the matchball plus in the 59th, 64th and 75th minutes, with David Jerrard adding a sixth 3 minutes into stoppage time.
Kettering Town were looking to put the pressure on inactive leaders King`s Lynn when they travelled to Top Field to take on seventh-placed Hitchin Town.
But the Poppies could only pull one point back on the Linnets after a 0-0 draw in front of a crowd of 469.
Weymouth moved to within a point of the Poppies in third though after a 2-1 win at the Spencer Stadium against Banbury United.
The Terras got a great start when Harry Baker put the in front after just 3 minutes.
But an own goal accredited to Abdulai Baggie right on half-time pulled the Puritans back on level terms.
But a second for Baker 11 minutes into the second half eventually sealed Weymouth`s important win.
St Neots Town are eighth but were held to a 2-2 draw at The Trico Stadium against a Redditch United side, who came back from 2-0 down late on.
St Neots debutant Stefan Broccoli got the away side off to the perfect start when beating the onrushing Ethan Ross inside the opening 3 minutes, before Tom Wood’s near-post header from a corner on 17 minutes doubled the away side’s advantage.
Ashley Sammons reduced the deficit with 8 minutes to play and a stoppage time corner was slammed onto the woodwork by debutant Brad Maslen-Jones, before Spencer Weir-Daley met the loose ball with a volley on the turn to seal a dramatic Reds comeback and earn them a hard-fought point in Darren Byfield`s farewell match as manager.
A goal from Michael Taylor just shy of the hour-mark saw Stratford Town to victory at home to Biggleswade Town, while Merthyr Town earned their first point since their off-field problems blew up as they drew 2-2 at fourth-bottom Kings Langley.
Jaye Bowen gave the Martyrs the lead on the half-hour mark, only for Michael King to level on the hour-mark.
Ashley Evans restored the visitors` lead in the 77th minute, but Mitchell Weiss earned Kings a point 8 minutes from time.
Farnborough moved themselves up to sixteenth in the table after a 5-3 win at the Rushmoor Community Stadium against tenth-placed Frome Town.
The Somerset side took a 9th minute lead through Jake Jackson, only for Dan Walker to equalise on 37 minutes upon his return on loan from Billericay Town.
Jackson restored the visitors` lead though after 63 minutes, only for Perry Coles to level just 2 minutes later.
Veteran Jamie Cureton then bagged a brace in the 72nd and 75th minutes and, after Marcus Mapstone had pulled a third back for Frome, Liam Bellamy made it a nap hand for Boro 8 minutes from time.
