Mike Symons was selected as man of the match at Edgar Street this afternoon.
Manager Peter Beadle thought he was outstanding.
"Along side Eastleigh it was his best performance of the season," said Beadle.
Symons himself spoke about his goal, a penalty after Pablo Haysham was brought down.
"The keeper went the right way but luckily for me it had a bit too much heart in it," he told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"It was nice to have a few more minutes today. The team has been so fantastic this season, competition for places means it hard to get on.
"So when you get a chance try your best and give the manager a headache for the next couple of weeks or so."
