We have read this evening’s UITC press release with interest and first of all would like to express disappointment that the Trustees of UITC have decided to make a public announcement while discussions with Hereford FC, the Herefordshire Football Association and the Football Association were ongoing.
It has always been the ambition of the Hereford FC Board to move towards running junior age-group teams under the Hereford FC banner, but discussions with UITC have not progressed as quickly as both parties would have liked.
In light of UITC’s announcement earlier today, we would like to reassure current UITC players and their families that we will be contacting them in the near future to discuss the plans going forward and would like to make it known that Hereford FC is fully committed to maintaining the running of junior teams for the remainder of the 2017/18 season, and beyond.
The board of Directors confirm a more detailed announcement will be made in the near future regarding our plans for the continuation of the age-group teams, and for the further development of a Hereford FC Player Pathway.
