Garyn Preen Scored Hereford's Second Goal |
First Jenkins spoke about Garyn Preen who was taken to Southampton Hospital following a collision between and an Eastleigh defender.
"First and foremost it's about Preeny's health and the signs are that he is okay. That's paramount at the end of the day," said Jenkins.
"Sometimes when you see things like that football becomes secondary really. Fingers crossed he'll be alright.
"The others one or two injuries but great win, great day.
"The club has got to enjoy it but it's back to work Tuesday. So we haven't got long!"
There were two red cards for Eastleigh players, one in each half.
Jenkins described the first red.
"He was the last man, Simmo got there before him, he's brought him down, he's through on goal.
"You don't like seeing players sent off but I don't think the ref had only other option.
"I think from the sending off, we were so comfortable, we stepped off a little bit and let them into it. Then we got the second which was a great time to score, just before half-time.
"That put us in a great position going into the second half.
"I thought we showed good composure, one or two occassions they threatened, most of the time from a long throw or set play, in between the boxes I thought we were great."
There were 14 minutes of added time and during that Hereford managed to keep possession of the ball most of the time, often in the corner areas.
"We're learning now a bit of game management now. We did really well and we did keep it in there for a number of minutes.
"I think overall the boys were magnificent. It's been a good day and everybody can look forward to the draw on Monday.
"You obviously want another game you have a chance of winning and now we've got this far can we get into the second round?
"We mustn't look too hard. Let's enjoy the the draw and see what it brings.
"This was a difficult place to come, we've shown what we're about, what we're capable of, we'll see what Monday brings."
