Eastleigh Boss Not Happy With The Referee

Eastleigh's manager Richard Hill spoke to BBC Radio Solent after his side were knocked out of the FA Cup by Hereford earlier today.

"Everybody is going to go away and say we didn't play particularly well.

"There were instances in that game where you couldn't fault the effort, perhaps you could fault the quality a little bit at times. But we were chasing a game of football with ten-men, which is always going to be hard.

"We go one goal down from a questionable free kick, and it was questionable whether it was even a free kick in the first place!

"I can't say much about that because I'm making excuses, but it wasn't a free kick."

Eastleigh had two players sent off. Andrew Boyce in the first half following a late challenge on Symons, and then Hoyte in the second half for a similar offence.
What did Hill think of them?

"Was Boyce the last man? He's still got to beat the goalkeeper. Another week you'd see that as a yellow.

"The second red for me is just how he's been perceived. I could come on here and slaughter the referee today, but I'd get in trouble."

Is Hill disappointed his side are out of the cup?

"If you're looking for a bit of luck in the FA Cup, I'm not your man. I've never had any in my career, but we've lost another game of football.

"It doesn't matter if it's the FA Cup or what, we've lost another game."
