Could Greenslade Be Beadle's Target?

Peter Beadle has remained relatively tight-lipped over the left back he's currently made two offers on.

But the name Danny Greenslade has been pointed out to BN.

Beadle told BBC H&W earlier in the week that the player is from a higher level, and is under contract, which will mean any move will involve a fee.

He also said his target was a free agent in the summer, but chose to sign for a team where he'd been on loan at the end of the previous season.

Greenslade is 23, and currently with Weston-Super-Mare. He joined the Seagulls in the summer after being released by Bristol Rovers.

Prior to this, he had a loan spell at the National League South side at the end of last season.

When his signing was announced, he was hailed as 'one of the best left-backs in non league football' on the official Seagulls website.

Former manager Scott Bartlett, who signed Greenslade, said: "In all honesty he had lots of options and could have doubled his money elsewhere but knows he is in the right place to develop."

Initially when Greenslade signed, he was said to have 'agreed terms', suggesting that he was not under contract.

But since then, Weston have appointed a new manager. And on an FA Document, it says that Greenslade is under written contract at Weston as of 01/07/2017.

Beadle has previously dealt with Weston, as Gethyn Hill joined Hereford on a loan spell earlier this season.

But whether Greenslade is Beadle's target remains to be seen.
