The search is still on for a new left-back in the wake of James Bowen's departure earlier this week.
Manager Pete Beadle is considering making a third offer for one of his targets after the first two were rejected.
Beadle told the Hereford OS: “We’ve identified several targets, and we made an offer to one club on Tuesday which got rejected.
“We went back and made a second offer on Wednesday, but again that was rejected, so we need to decide whether to make a third offer, or whether we move on.
“Personally, I don’t think the deal is dead in the water yet, but the player is under contract so we need to do some work to reach an agreement to talk to the player. We’d love to get it done before the weekend.”
Beadle goes on to speak about bringing a left-back in on loan, as well as the current injury situation at Edgar Street
