Banbury Boss: We Dropped Off And Let Them Have It

A solitary goal from Keyon Reffell saw Banbury slide to their fourth straight defeat last night, and after the match, manager Mike Ford spoke to Puritans Radio.

"We've just ran one of the more fancied teams in our division very, very close," said Ford.

"We talked about having a front foot performance, and for 25 minutes in the first half we did that.

"And for some reason we dropped off and let them have it. As soon as we let them get into a rhythm with the ball, we couldn't get out and they get their goal."

Mike Symons was brought on for Lance Smith in the second half. Symons had a spell at Oxford City under Ford.

"We talked second half about making it difficult for them, and we made the game very even."

"You can clearly see they have a little bit of quality - they bring on Symons who I had at Oxford City - he's a big, huge fella who held the ball up for them. Bringing him on took the momentum away from us.

"But everyone has played their part tonight. It was a good crowd and a good night of football. Two sets of supporters supporting their team in the right way."
