Preview: Kempston Rovers vs Hereford

Ben Chilman previews tomorrow's FA Cup tie against step four side Kempston:

This Saturday sees the Bulls return to FA Cup action with a trip to Bedfordshire to face Kempston Rovers in the second qualifying round.

Hereford come into the game on the back of two convincing score lines, with a 4-1 win away to Royston on Saturday and a 5-2 victory at Edgar Street against Stratford town on Tuesday evening.

However, Gethyn Hill won’t be available for Saturday’s game after the striker returned back to Western-Super-Mare following his loan spell.

This had been on the cards after Beadle again extended his strike force with the addition of 19 year old forward Jamie Bird. The striker, who played at Cardiff for 11 years, was released by the Bluebirds last May. This news now means that Beadle has four strikers to choose from for the cup tie.

Adam Page's return has also been confirmed, with the 20-year old winger eligible to play tomorrow. He is expected to play some part.

At the other end of the pitch, loanee Dara O’Shea has been cleared for FA Cup action. His parent club West Brom granted clearance for the Republic of Ireland under 19 international to feature in both the FA Cup and the FA trophy earlier this week.

Kempston Rovers, who play in the Evo-Stik South League, are an unfamiliar name to some Bulls fans as the two sides have never met before. The Walnut Boys have made it to this round following a tough and hard fought win last Saturday against Wishbech Town when they ran out eventual winners 2-1.

Hereford on the other hand thrashed ten-men Godalming Town 8-0.

Managers Jimmy Stoyles & Gary Flinn will be hoping that Jake Newman can continue his fine form after scoring seven goals in his last eight matches.

Another player to watch is their summer signing George Boland. The midfielder has had an impressive start and was deservedly rewarded with a man of the match in his last game.

The ground will open at midday with admission prices as follows:

Adults £9
Concessions £5
Under 16s £1
