This evening's news that Hereford FC have signed 19 year old striker Jamie Bird ponders the question what will manager Peter Beadle do with so many strikers and wingers currently on the books.
There's six strikers at Edgar Street at present, John Mills, Gethin Hill, Mike Symons, Lance Smith and now Jamie Bird. And also Jamie Cuss when he's fit.
Admittedly Hill is on loan and could return to Weston at any time. And with Lance Smith back in training, Beadle probably won't ask for an extension to Hill's loan. So that's one less.
That still leaves Mills, Symons, Smith, Bird and Cuss.

There is a view that Smith, Bird and Cuss could play on one or other wing.
But Beadle has just signed Adam Page on loan who will be fighting for a place with Keyon Reffell, Pablo Haysham, Garyn Preen and Jamie Molyneux for a place on the wings.
So with two players coming in, it's thought Beadle may have to decide whether to keep every striker and every winger he has at present.
Especially given there are now 26 players at the club.
