Preview: Hereford vs Tiverton Town

Hereford take on Tiverton Town this evening, with the Devon side no strangers to the Bulls.

Last season in the Southern League South & West, Hereford drew 1-1 with Tivvy on the road, before beating them 2-1 in the reverse fixture - John Mills scored from the spot, followed by a Pablo Haysham strike 13 minutes later.

Like Hereford, Tiverton won promotion at the end of last season, but they got their campaign off to a better start with a 2-1 win against Bishops Stortford on Saturday. Despite being 'delighted' with the result, manager Martyn Roberts admits that this evening's game will be a big test for his side.

Rogers is into his second spell at the helm, and is the club's most successful manager to date. He's lead Tivvy to three FA Vase finals, winning it twice, as well as a number of other cup and league title wins.

Summer additions include Jordan Rogers, who netted 60 goals for Taunton over the past two seasons, and Martin Rice from National League South side Truro City.

Meanwhile, Hereford will be looking for their first win of the season. Boss Peter Beadle will still be without Rob Purdie, Lance Smith and Mike McGrath who are injured, but Ryan Green returns from suspension and is expected to feature. Jamie Molyneux is unlikely to start as he looks to regain match fitness.

Admission:
Adults £9 terrace | £10 seated
Concessions £8terrace | £9 seated
U18s £2
HUST Juniors/Junior Bulls £1

A new look programme will also be on offer this evening. There will be the same amount of pages as last season, but with fewer adverts. They will be on sale around the ground priced at £3.

HUST will also be running their half time 50/50 draw. Tickets cost £1 with 50% coming back as prize money (after modest expenses) and the other 50% being used by HUST to purchase shares in Hereford FC.

According to HUST, the average pay out per game last season was almost £900 (£425 first prize) with the highest against Winchester was five prizes totalling over £1,500 (£650 first prize).

Bulls News will be providing live Twitter updates from Edgar Street, and there will be photos, reaction and a report following the full time whistle.
