Dan Preston, who has joined Hereford FC today, has had two previous spells at Edgar Street.
He originally joined Hereford United in March 2010 when John Trewick was in charge and made four appearances. This was on a youth loan scheme deal with parent club Birmingham. It meant that Preston could play for both Hereford and Birmingham.
This happened as he returned to St Andrews on at least two occasions, firstly to play against Arsenal and secondly against Chelsea.
During Preston's loan Graham Turner took control of the first team from Trewick and from then on Preston hardly featured.
In June 2010 Preston signed his first senior contract with Birmingham.
Foward to January 2011, Jamie Pitman had taken over as manager at Edgar Street and he signed Preston on a youth loan until the end of the season.
However he failed to make an appearance for the first team although often on the bench and returned to Birmingham in mid-April.
In July 2011 he moved to Telford.
During the early autumn of 2012 Preston missed ten games because of red cards. The first coming at Luton resulted in a six match ban, then another against Newport was deemed worthy of a further four match ban.
Preston started for Telford in their 1-1 draw at Hereford on January 8th 2013. Later that season in the return game Preston was subbed off. Hereford won 4-0.
In October 2013, Preston went on loan to Barrow for a month and then to Stourbridge. He was released by Telford in May 2014.
A month later he joined Tamworth where he joined up with Rob Purdie, Paul Green and Michael Townsend.
In January 2015 Preston fractured his skull in a game against Leamington. It was June before he was given the all-clear to resume
training. The injury
was complicated by internal bleeding that scuppered a plan to return earlier.
In May 2016 he returned to Telford
