Throwback Thursday - Merthyr, Darren Peacock, Addison departs

Please subscribe to www.youtube.com/djmatthealey  I will start the process of playlisting the seasons soon.

Next season Hereford and Merthyr will face each other in the Southern League Premier. On December 9th 1989 the two teams faced each other in the FA Cup 2nd round. The game is remembered for Paul Tester's superb goal.

The best of series features Darren Peacock. After Newport County were liquidated all of their players were made redundant. Ian Bowyer then swooped to sign the striker turned centre half in April 1989. Peacock was sold to QPR in December 1990, and the Bulls later earnt a hefty sell on fee when Peacock signed for Kevin Keegan at Newcastle in 1994.

Colin Addison returned to Edgar Street as manager in June 1990. A fairly disappointing saw the Bulls finish 17th in Division Four. Addison left the club at the end of that campaign. Here is the Central News South footage of his departure.
