Two players from UITC have
successfully been offered scholarships at professional clubs in recent
weeks, Tom Hayes at Yeovil Town and Rhys Davies at Shrewsbury Town
respectively.
Hayes and Davies were part of the successful cup winning under 15's team last season before continuing their development with the under 16's this season. During this season both boys made the step up and played for the under 18's. Both boys have really benefited from the quality coaching at UITC
during their time at the club.
Tom, pictured above, has been with them for two seasons after being spotted playing for Mike Fowler Soccer Schools vs UITC, whilst Rhys, pictured below, has had 7 years with the club from the U9s. It really shows what a great environment UITC/HFC is to nurture young players and support their long term development.
Both boys would like to thank everyone for their support during their spells at the club and wish Steve Saunders and the U16s all the best in the JPL national final.
