The appeal to raise £10,000 for Hereford FC's Jamie Cuss to have a knee operation is over halfway towards its target.
As at 7am this morning, £5290 has been raised.
The appeal was launched after Cuss twisted his leg on the artifical surface in a game against Romulus last September.
He was in the starting eleven but had to be subbed after just fifteen minutes.
Cuss has always been a Hereford supporter and was 'over the moon' when signed by manager Peter Beadle last summer.
