Hereford FC's Jamie Cuss will have the operation on his knee he requires early next month thanks to those who have contributed to the appeal for him.
"The operation is on the May 5th," Cuss told BN.
"It's six months recovery.
"It should be alright for pre-season running.
"It's a very long time, too long.
"It's killing me not playing every day."
As of this evening the appeal has raised £8049.
