I couldn't wait till Throwback Thursday. Thank you to David Glinos who has provided me with a Hereford United treasure chest of footage. This is the preview to the FA Cup tie with Sir Alex Ferguson's Red Devils on the 28th January 1990. The squad went to Torquay prior to the big game and trained on the beach. There are interviews with Captain Mel Pejic and Goalkeeper Tony Elliott. We also get to hear Radio Wyvern's Sammy Southall play "Up for the Cup", and hear the comments of the Hereford Times Sports Editor Ted Woodriffe. There are great shots of the Cattle Market as well.
The game ended 1-0 with a late Clayton Blackmore goal.
