"It's been a very hard decision to make but I feel its 100 per cent the right one.
"I have given everything I have in the last three- and-a-half years to take BTFC to where they are now.
"I had a plan to try and make this club a very competitive Toolstation side but ended up achieving so much more and wanted to do it with local players, which we did and now that we are safe for another season in the Southern League it's time for someone else to take over."
The game at Hereford tomorrow is probably the biggest in Barnstaple's history.
Currently Barnstaple are 17th in the table.
