Barnstaple Manager's Last But One Away Game

Barry Yeo will be in charge of the Barnstaple squad for the last but one away game of his time with the Devon club at Edgar Street tomorrow.

Yeo is standing down after three and a half seasons at the helm.

He has had a successful reign as when he took over Barnstaple were playing in the Toolstation Western League Division One. Back to back promotions took the club to the Southern League South and West.

"I wanted to let everyone know that this will be my last season in charge of Barnstaple Town FC," Yeo told his followers on Twitter.

"It's been a very hard decision to make but I feel its 100 per cent the right one.

"I have given everything I have in the last three- and-a-half years to take BTFC to where they are now.

"I had a plan to try and make this club a very competitive Toolstation League side but ended up achieving so much more and wanted to do it with local players, which we did and now that we are safe for another season in the Southern League it's time for someone else to take over."

The game at Hereford tomorrow is probably the biggest in Barnstaple's history.

Currently Barnstaple are 17th in the table.
