£10,000 is needed to be raised so that Hereford FC's Jamie Cuss can have an operation on his knee.
Jamie explains:
I was
absolutely over the moon to achieve my ambition for playing for Hereford
FC when Peter Beadle signed me last summer. The season started well
with scoring on my debut v Bridgwater Town, another goal against
Alvechurch in the FA Cup was also another high point gaining me my first
MOTM award for the club. Unfortunately in the next round v Romulus I
twisted my leg on the artificial surface resulting in a tear to my
Anterior Cruciate ligament.
Despite
rest and rehabilitation I was unable to overcome the injury and my only
way forward to continue playing for Hereford FC is to undergo surgery.
Unfortunately at this level the only way for this to happen is to self
fund an operation - the NHS waiting list is over 12 months so is not an
option.
The
club have been fantastic in supporting me and are behind me in my quest
to return to where I was only 6 months ago. Being self employed, not
only is the amount prohibitive but I will also have to a substantial
period before I can continue working.
Being
a local lad I have always been a Hereford United/FC fan. I was a mascot
when I was 6 years old when HUFC played Wimbledon in the FA Cup. I was
also a Junior Bull too! I have represented top sides in the county and
now to be appearing for Hereford FC is a dream for a long life fan.
I
really want to continue my career at Edgar Street so I am asking all
friends and fans if they can help me to achieve this. I will be holding
events in the coming weeks/months to help with funding the operation and
it would be great if you can help me reach my goal by donating via my
Just Giving page.
