Beadle Coached At Sutton United

With Sutton United taking on Arsenal this evening, it's opportune to remember that Peter Beadle, currently Hereford FC manager, had a short spell as head coach at the club in 2014.

This came after Beadle had kept Hereford United in the Conference after just eight games in charge.

After not even being interviewed for manager of Hereford for the following season, Beadle took the Sutton position.

''I'm delighted to have been able to appoint Peter," said Sutton manager Paul Doswell.

"He's a UEFA 'A' coach, who has been a friend of mine for over 10 years now and did an excellent job with Hereford last season."

However Beadle was only with Sutton for two months.

“It was an amicable split with Peter [Beadle]," said Doswell.

"The relationship just was not working, he is used to being a number one.

“There is no point carrying on when you know it is not working."

Meanwhile former Hereford United defender Dean Beckwith is in the Sutton team this evening.

And other former Hereford United player, Bradley Hudson Odoi, is on the bench.

He didn't stay long at Hereford and may best be remembered for not having a spare pair of boots at an away game at Oldham.

Hereford, who suffered the indignity of having to substitute Bradley Hudson-Odoi, apparently because his red boots tore and he had no back-up pair - said a report in the Guardian.
