We'll Train Over Christmas Said Beadle

In his post match interview Peter Beadle was asked if having a ten day gap in matches over Christmas would affect the 'momentum' the side currently has.

"I think Saturday is Christmas Eve and if we had had a game no one would have come to it!

"I think it's just the way the weeks work out. We play Saturday and Tuesday, do we need to fit another one in?

"Ten days is not a problem as long as the players look after themselves properly over Christmas and they are prepared.

"We'll train over Christmas. It won't be a case that we play on the 17th and that's it we don't train until Cleeve.

"We'll train in between that so the boys will be ready and obviously with the ten days it gives them a chance to rest and recupriate, those that are injured.

"So ten days for me is not a massive issue provided we prepare and look after ourselves properly."

Beadle gave his view on signing Ollie Barnes.

"He's got a nice left foot as he can play centre half or left back.

"He's a good age, he's 29. He's got good experience. Again another very valuable asset to our group.

"I think all round his game will make us stronger.

"For me we were a defender short and Ollie wasn't doing anything. He was let go or left Weston about six weeks ago so it's going to take a couple of weeks training to get him up to fitness unless we need him before hand.

"Another good acquisition for us."
