UITC Weekend Round Up

This weekends UITC results

Kidderminster Harriers DC 3-4 Hereford U12
The game had everything you would want to see in a JPL game high intensity football from both teams playing for valuable points ..strong tackles great counter's and quick energetic football which was great to see worthy of a match of the day viewing for sure. Goals were scored by Joe Lloyd x 2, Charlie Bemand and Isaac Morris

Hereford U13 1-9 Worcester City
Hereford's goal was scored by Keiron Davies

Hereford U14 1-5 Worcester City
In the first quarter both sides had some good spells of possession, the first goal came from an attack down the left which was cut back and finished well. This was followed up three mins later with a goal from a set peice with Worcester using their height well. Worcester rounded of the quarter with a well taken third goal.

Hereford settled in the second quarter and created a good goal with Archie Muirhead curling one into the far top corner. Worcester quickly responded with another score from a set piece.

Hereford continued to grow in confidence but Worcester still continued to dominate possession. Hereford defended from the front well but a small mistake allowed Worcester to add to their lead.

Hereford U15 1-3 Forest Green Rovers
Hereford started brightly looking to play out from the back and use their full backs to overlap/underlap and create overloads. This led to Hereford delivering many crosses only for the fantastic FGR defence to make some fantastic blocks, tackles and clearances along with the GK making some fine saves to keep the game level. Herefords possession and quick combination play was causing numerous problems in the early stages, however FGR were very organised defensively and making it hard for Hereford to create any clear cut chances. FGR soon took the lead late in the 2nd period when a fantastic cross to the back post was headed into the top corner by Olly Whelan to make it 1-0 going into the third quarter.

FGR came out full of confidence and began to close Hereford down quickly and looking a real threat as a result of the pace of their attacks and ability to exploit space. FGR soon had a second when a shot was saved by the Hereford GK only to be pushed out to Ned Ridler-Dutton who scored from close range. Hereford continued to play the same way and look to play out from the back and soon got a goal back when Ben Hopkins got in front of the defender to score following a cross into the box. HFC continued to push for an equaliser in the final quarter but FGR worked extremely hard and were very organised without the ball. They also were a huge threat when winning possession due to the pace of their counter attacking football, which had caused HFC problems all morning. It was a result of one of their counter attacks, which gained them their third and the game sealing goal. A mix up in the HFC defence led to a calm but yet again clinical finish by FGR when Freddie Porter made the final score 3-1.

Hereford U16 2-4 Oxford City
Oxford capitalised on early Hereford sloppiness, scoring a free header from a corner. Things evened out from then on but Hereford struggled to find any rhythm.

In the second quarter Hereford found their stride and scored two quick goals. However, any thoughts of an easy ride were quashed with a quick response from oxford. Both teams were playing good expansive football and more goals were sure to come.

In the 3rd quarter oxford we're causing problems with some great deliveries from set plays but Hereford always looked dangerous on the counter. It was oxford who took the lead and meant the hosts would have to chase the game. Good, sustain pressure was built but the oxford back line defended well and went into the final 20 a goal to the good.

With Hereford committing players forward oxford became the countering side with the left winger causing all sorts of problems 1v1. Hereford had numerous chances to level but in what was the the move of the game oxford secured all three points. Hereford's goal were scored by Jake Spink

Hereford Lads Club 1-10 Hereford U18 Girls
Hereford's goal were scored by Tinny Conway x 5, Lauren Brown x 3, Tash Devereux and Sian Bull
