Hereford have signed 29 year old defender Mark Preece who has been at Chippenham.
Preece can't play this evening for his new club as he is suspended. He received two yellow cards in Chippenham's game at Basingstoke last Tuesday
Before joining Chippenham, Preece had made over 250 appearances at all levels of Non-League football. After a youth career at Bristol Rovers which included a loan spell at Gloucester, he joined Forest Green where he played for four seasons. He then earned a move to Mansfield where he only stayed for one season before joining Bath City. He has also turned out for Weston-Super-Mare, Oxford City and returned to Gloucester.
Has been ever present at the back for Chippenham since joining forming a great partnership with Greg Tindle.
It appears Preece had told Chippenham last week that he was leaving them. According to the local paper it was for 'work committments'.
