Poppy Day At Edgar Street

Mike Symons With The Poppy On His Shirt Last November
This afternoon (and next Saturday) Hereford FC players will be wearing shirts with a Poppy printed on them.

Members of the Royal British Legion will be at today's game selling Poppies and also holding a bucket collection.

Standard bearers will lead the teams onto the pitch and, as ever, a one minute silence will take place just before kick-off.

After the two games, the shirts will be auctioned off with the profits going to the Royal British Legion. Last year the auction of shirts raised just over £4000.

Meanwhile tickets for the game will be available right up to kick-off.

Supporters driving to the game are reminded that parking is limited around Edgar Street. However Herefordshire Council have opened the overflow at their Merton Meadow car park for today's match.

On top of that there are roadworks on Edgar Street and Widemarsh Street is one way (South) only.
