Tivvy Boss Wants To Stop Hereford's Gallop

Hereford travel to second-place Tiverton Town on Saturday, and manager Martyn Rogers has called on home fans to come out in force for the game.

"Hereford are obviously buoyed by big crowd numbers of around 2,600, which is phenomenal for this level of football," Rogers told the Exeter Express and Echo.

"They're going to bring down a lot of support and I'm just calling on everybody who has come to watch Tivvy in the past so we can try not to be outnumbered.

"I don't want it to be like an away game," he added.

Tiverton and Hereford are the only unbeaten sides in the league, but Tivvy have drawn 3 of their 8 league games, leaving the Bulls 3 points clear with a game in hand.

But Rogers doesn't think it will be easy.

"It's going to be a really big game," Rogers said.

"They're a quality side and they've obviously had back-to-back promotions and have got to the FA Vase final, so we know they're a decent outfit and we're going to have to be at our very best, but I think the players are looking forward to the challenge."

"They were obviously a league club a few years back and they're trying to get back there but they've got a bit to do yet and we've got to make sure we stop their gallop."
