Three Great Goals Said Jenkins

Peter Beadle And Steve Jenkins
Hereford's assistant manager Steve Jenkins felt that last night's victory at Shortwood had been 'reasonable comfortable'.

"Shortwood are a decent outfit,"Jenkins told BN.

"Over the last two or three seasons they have been very close around the play-offs.

"There are not many teams that will come here and make such easy work of a decent team.

"I thought the players managed the game very very well.

"Three great goals and created quite a few chances as well. On another day it could have been a couple more.

"More than delighted to get three goals but also a clean sheet.

"It's nice to get two clean sheets in the last two games.

"We've won the game and we move on now and look towards Saturday."

Next for Hereford is Alvechurch in the FA Cup on Saturday.

"I'm not familiar with the rivalry with Alvechurch not being here last season.

"But it's something I've heard all about so we're all looking forward to in a fantastic tournament like the FA Cup.

"It's great opportunity for us as a club to try and get as far as we can and try and get to that first round.

"There's a couple of hundred teams with the same ambition as us.

"The history from last season and stuff should make it exciting.

"But we want to do well in both cups and the league.

"It's another game for which we will prepare the right way, another game we look forward to."

Mike Symons was not available last night, the club had known about this for sometime. So will he be back for Saturday?

"He will be available."
