"I thought he did great for half an hour.
"He's had a steady pre-season but hasn't had much game time over the last couple of weeks. The last time he played we went and watched him. That's probably three weeks ago.
"So it was good to throw him in and I thought he did great, he looked lively, he looked sharp and I think the more games he plays the better he'll be.
"Hopefully we can keep him fit, get him sharp, build him up slowly.
"He's a quality addition to the group."
