Terry Barratt, who was recently installed as chairman of the Southern League, has welcomed by decision by the FA and others to crackdown on bad behaviour by both players and managers towards referees.
Red cards can now be given out to players and managers who confront referees.
"It’s an important step and stronger action is something I have been championing for a while," said Barratt as reported by the Non-League Paper.
"But now clubs have to ensure they carry this message forward – we
don’t want to see nobody left on the pitch and for it to spoil matches."
