Merthyr Town lifted the HFA Senior Cup at Edgar Street this afternoon.
The cup has been around for over 60 years and is said to be worth a considerable amount of money.
"It was first won by Shrewsbury Town against Hereford in the 1950/51 season," HFA chief executive Jim Lambert told BN.
"Even I can't remember that game!
"Merthyr Tydfil have won it twice obviously the predecessors to Merthyr Town who have won it today.
"It used to be played as a Challenge Cup with a number of rounds.
"We've even had winners such as Charlton Athletic, Oxford City, Newport County and Manchester City.
"Everton came here to play for it but they lost. It was the year after Manchester City won it."
