We Will Miss Ammonds' Presence says Hale

In an interview with the official site last night, chairman Jon Hale praised Chris Ammonds for his work at the club, after it was announced that he would be leaving his role as commercial manager.

"It is impossible to put into words the time, effort and dedication Stig has contributed to the Hereford FC cause.

"He has been at the core of all our discussions, deliberations and decision making, and without doubt we have relied heavily on his knowledge and expertise within the PR field.

"He is very personable, with always a funny story or joke – usually of his own making – ready for telling to anyone who will listen.

"Stig has a big personality, a ready smile, compassionate nature and a listening ear, and these traits have made him popular with all with whom he has come into contact here. I am just delighted that his decision means we will not be losing his professional skills completely.

"Every one of us involved at Hereford FC will miss his daily presence, however, his wish to return to his chosen career is completely understandable. That he has chosen this point in time to make the decision to ‘step away’ shows he has fully considered the best interests of Hereford FC and we also thank him for that.

"We all wish Stig, Rachel, Freddie and Esme every good fortune for the future and look forward to seeing them all at Edgar Street supporting the club and team they have been so involved in helping to build."
