Westfields Chairman Slams Decision To Hold HFA Final At Edgar Street

Westfields chairman John Morgan has slammed the decision of the HFA to hold tomorrow's County Cup final at Edgar Street.

He told the Hereford Times that it gave an unfair advantage to Hereford FC as the game would be played at their home ground.

However his comments appear to be out of order as Westfields had the chance to comment when the decision was taken by the HFA earlier this season.

In any case given the interest in the game, it would be difficult to have taken a decision to hold it any where else but Edgar Street other than, perhaps, at Westfields.

And there is no way the authorities would have allowed Ronaldo, the Hereford Bull, to be paraded around the Westfields' ground.

Meanwhile Westfields Chief Executive Andy Morris has told Sunshine's Matt Healey that tomorrow should be a 'fantastic occasion'.

"It's the County Cup final which we've won the last six years," said Morris.

"We will be looking to make it seven.

"We've got formidable opposition this year in Hereford who are on a roll and they are going for the quadruple of their trophies so it is going to be an exciting day.

"A fantastic occasion for Herefordshire sport again and more importantly for Hereford FC and Westfields."
