Hereford Will Go On To Greater Things Said George

Former Hereford United player Ricky George spoke to BBC Hereford and Worcester after yesterday's FA Vase final.

"It was an honour and priviledge to be here, Hereford FC's first time at Wembley, any Hereford side's first time at Wembley.

"For the first fifteen, twenty minutes I thought we were going to win this comfortably but we reckoned without, and I had been warned beforehand by a couple of northern journalists that you shouldn't underestimate this side with the amount of experience and dedication and organisation that they had.

"At the end of the day apart from the great saves that Dryden made early on after Rob Purdie's goal, we could have scored two or three, Morpeth throughly deserved this.

"Take nothing away from the achievements of Hereford this season, they will go on to greater things with the support they've got.

"Four more promotions and they'll be back in the Football League."
