Torquay have confirmed they are in talks over a potential takeover at Plainmoor. The current owners have only been in charge since the summer, but have implemented a series of drastic financial cutbacks to keep the ailing club running. Former Bulls loanee Micah Evans has joined Chorley for the rest of the season from Stockport. Evans, 23, hasn't featured for the Hatters since the turn of the year.
Gosport Borough are reported to have failed to attend a hearing with the National League over their current financial issues. The club say they were not expected to attend the meeting, so sent a written response instead, but a league statement claims the club failed to attend. The club admit they are yet to pay their players outstanding wages, and that they continue to have a transfer embargo with only 12 senior players now registered and the deadline this coming Thursday.
Darlington have announced they have finally agreed terms on a move back to the town that bears their name. The club have spent four years at Bishop Auckland, but will move to the Blackwell Meadows home of Darlington Rugby Club this summer. Three bidders are in for Notts County, with owner Ray Trew reportedly looking for over £10million for the club. He is reported to have agreed terms with one unnamed American bidder.
Rochdale have announced they have taken full ownership of their Spotland home. The local Council and rugby club had equal shares with the League One side in the stadium management company, but it will now revert to the football club 100% with the rugby side signing a new long term lease and the Council being repaid over £500,000 in loans into the management company over the next ten years.
