The club says negative press stories have already cost it two sponsorship deals worth £18,000, and have asked for a meeting with the paper's editor with relations described as 'strained'.

Farnborough have submitted planning permission for a 4G pitch at their stadium, with the intention of hosting a rugby club on the site. Owner Rob Prince says their current playing budget is less than £40,000.
