The HFA have confirmed that a request has been made by Hereford FC to change the date of the HFA County Cup final which was set to be played at Edgar Street on Easter Monday.
Hereford FC have an important fixture on Easter Monday away at Alvechurch, a match that could have a big bearing on who wins promotion from the Midland Premier League.
"A request has been made to change the date," HFA chief executive Jim Lambert told BN.
"The case presented by HFC and the views of Westfields will be considered.
"The decision will be made at a Governance meeting next Thursday evening.
"An alternative date has been suggested but I would rather the committee make their decision on Easter Monday before even considering alternatives."
