Pitches of clubs in the Midland Premier League aren't all as good as Edgar Street and so because it's been quite a wet winter there have been lots of games called off.
Hereford FC have only lost one home game to the weather, that being the Leicester Nirvana Vase tie which was abandoned at half time.
However manager Peter Beadle is concerned about the number of games being called off and with the club currently in three cup competitions and having 17 league games to play before the end of April, it could mean having to play three times a week once or twice before the end of the season.
"I know we've had some bad weather," said Beadle after Tuesday's game.
"There's a ground grading system and I think the pitch should be included in that as well because there's been more games called off than I've ever known certainly from one or two teams in this league.
"Highgate have played (18) league games because of their pitch. Now for whatever reason that should come into consideration because they've got an awful lot of games to fit in.
"If they ever consider extending it (the season) that makes it a disadvantage for us because we've managed to get all our games on because we've looked after our pitch and we've done the best we can and we've got fantastic groundsmen.
"I don't think the April deadline should be extended, the rules are the rules and if you end up playing two or three games a week that's unfortunate.
"You've got to look after your pitch, it's a source of income every home game for every club and the more games that get called off the more they pile up, the more income they are losing out on."
