Yesterday, Ron Parrott posed the following question:-
Harry Redknapp held a record that Peter Beadle beat during his playing days - can anyone guess what it is?
The answer is that Harry Redknapp held the record of playing the least number of minutes in the history of Brentford FC, timed at 45 minutes during his one and only appearance in 1976/77.
Not to be outdone, Peter also played just the one game for Brentford, on loan from Bristol City in September 2003. Unfortunately, Peter was sent off after just 12 minutes of his first game against Tranmere then suspension and an ankle injury prevented him from playing again during his loan period.
Thus, 12 minutes is the shortest playing time that any Brentford player has ever achieved!
