Cambridge City say they have seen attendances drop by a third since leaving their own ground in 2012. The club are to return to Cambridge in a new stadium, but have spent two years sharing with Histon and expect to spend at least two years at St Ives Town. Chairman Kevin Satchell told the local press they expect to lose up to £50,000 this season, down on the losses from last term, with average attendances of 200.
The North West Counties League is to propose a rule change in the FA Vase after seeing Northwich Victoria pull out of the competition due to a 380 mile round trip to Morpeth scheduled for a Tuesday night. They want sides over 100 miles apart to only play on Saturdays with Northwich calling for a wholesale review of the postponement rules in the competition, which are vague at best.
Wrexham have posted their first profit in 15 years for last season. The £11,587 profit was mainly due to a FA Cup run to the Third Round, where they lost at Stoke, and a FA Trophy Final appearance, where they lost to North Ferriby. Overall, the club turned over £2.2million, up over £500,000, having posted losses of £350,000 in the previous season.
