Michele Gallo is set to take charge of Hereford FC's first game in the Midland League on Saturday.
His assistants will be Robert Lovegrove and Ryan McLlravey.
Gallo, an Italian, is understood to have officiated in Serie B. After he moved to England in 2012 he became a level four referee.
He currently works as an Official Veterinarian in the meat industry.
