This from Hereford FC:
We’re proud to be welcoming Champion Hereford Bull ‘Hawkesbury Ronaldo’ to Edgar Street this Saturday.
‘Ronaldo’ will make a very special lap of the pitch ahead of Saturday’s Midland Football League opener against Dunkirk.
Hereford FC Chairman Jon Hale said “we’re delighted to be able to continue the fantastic tradition of parading a Hereford Bull around the outside of the pitch ahead of big games.
“For Hereford FC, no game is bigger than our very first competitive match, and I’d like to thank Henry Weston stockman Tom Manns, his team and everyone at Henry Westons for their help in making sure that this tradition can continue.”
Whilst Ronaldo is used to parading in front of large crowds, we would ask all supporters to offer the respect that such a fine specimen warrants as he makes his way around the pitch.
The parade is subject to final confirmation from Herefordshire Council.
